Annual Awards Ceremony 2024

On April 30th, the F.L.E.O. Foundation hosted its annual awards ceremony in New York. Members of the Board of Directors were honored to present three awards along with a check donation. The first award, the N.Y.P.D. Fallen Hero Commemoration plaque, was presented in honor and remembrance of fallen hero Detective Jonathan Diller. The Foundation was honored to present the plaque to Detective Diller's wife, Stephanie, along with financial contributions from director Brian Kaminskey and director Robert Fagenson on behalf of the Centurion Foundation.

The Foundation also presented its Patriot of the Year award to Tunnel To Tower C.E.O. Frank Siller. As the leader of this remarkable charity, Mr. Siller has demonstrated powerful support for our fallen heroes and their families. At the event, Mr. Siller announced Tunnel To Towers would be paying off the Mortgage for Stephanie Diller's home, as well as the Marshal Service Fugitive Task Force Officers who were fatally wounded on April 29th. Mr. Siller continues to provide invaluable support to the families of our military and first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice.

For its Prosecutor of the Year award, the Foundation recognized Raymond Tierney, the Suffolk County District Attorney. Mr. Tierney has done a great job leading his office as they prioritize prosecutions of violent criminals. He also took the lead in establishing the task force that investigated and arrested the alleged Gilgo Beach serial murderer. Mr. Tierney also re-established the Gang Unit in his office, as well as the Suffolk County Violent Crime Task Force. He has done a formidable job directing his assistants to pursue violent criminals who violate their bail or parole. Mr. Tierney has been a strong advocate in support of repealing New York State's reckless bail reform law.

The president of C.O.P.S, Connie Moyer, and the Executive Director, Dianne Bernhard, were called to the podium and presented with a check. The contribution was designated for covering the expenses of the federal fallen hero families traveling to D.C. to honor their loved on during National Police Week.

The Foundation expressed its appreciation to the event host, Peter Kalikow, its Board of Trustees, its sponsors and to the N.Y.P.D. Ceremonial Unit.
